2022 FBA Mock Draft 1.0

Ian RappaBridgeport

1. Hennyville Hashbrowns (Via BBB)

Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas (1.01)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Ravens, Eagles, Bills

Hennyville comes in selecting at the 1st & 4th spot in the first round, after acquiring the #1 Overall pick from the Bodacious Booty Boys following the 2023 rules meeting, trading away RB Saquon Barkley, QB Kenny Pickett & the 10th Overall Selection (Via Nip City). Hennyville is expected to add to his young core of RB’s, with Bijan Robinson expected to be the first overall selection. Although it is uncertain where hill will end up, Robinson has been the expected consensus top pick since last season, and it would be a shocker if he is not a Hashbrown come June.

2. Thunder Bay Tits

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State (1.02)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Jets, Texans, Packers

It’s clear Thunder Bay’s plan is to address the WR position with the 2nd overall selection in the 2023 draft, however which WR that might be is the question. I believe Thunder Bay will take the first WR who come off the board in the April NFL draft, and whether that’s Quentin Johnson, Jordan Addison or Smith-Njigba is yet to be determined. Right now currently I believe that to be Jaxon Smith-Njigba, as the talent the NFL has seen from the WRs selected out of Ohio State leads me to believe he will be the first off the board. It unclear who will go in this spot, but expect the Thunder Bay office to do their research on the WR’s in this class.

3. Klub Ice (Via TMBE)

Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama (1.03)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Panthers, Eagles, Ravens

Klub Ice traded from their collection of WR’s to move up in the draft from picks 8 to 3, while adding a first in 2024 as well. It’s expected of Klub Ice to go for the after a Running Back, and with Bijan Robinson off the board, the only other safe bet at the position as of right now is Jahmyr Gibbs from Alabama. Its uncertain where he’ll go in the draft, but is currently expected to from the end of the first to early second round. Gibbs will add depth to a position that is needed in Klub Ice, adding to a roster that consists of Aaron Jones, James Conner & Tyler Allgeier.

4. Hennyville Hashbrowns (Via Jamaican Mafia)

Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU (1.04)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Texans, Bears, Jets

After selecting Bijan Robinson with the 1st pick, Hennyville doesn’t have any standout needs to fix that the 4th pick will solve. I could see them selecting the #1 QB on their big board to backup Patrick Mahomes, or selecting a TE here to backup TE Travis Kelce. However, if I know the Hashbrowns well enough, I assume they’ll take the best player available at the pick, and I assume that to be WR Quentin Johnston from TCU. Johnston would not play right away for Hennyville, as young WRs Lamb, G.Wilson and Olave all would rank higher on the teams depth chart, but Johnston would be a nice WR to hold for the future.

5. J Crew (Via Bringin Da Pain)

Jordan Addison, WR, USC (1.05)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Giants, Texans, Packers

The most recent addition to the FBA, the J Crew, start their first official draft at the 5th selection, a pick they acquired in a blockbuster deal for WR Justin Jefferson. Come draft night in June, I believe this pick might belong to someone else, with the J Crew’s rebuild of the team looking to acquire as much draft capital as possible. However, if the selection does come down to the J Crew, the rebuild leaves a hole at every single position, so the team will most likely be looking to add the best overall available despite the position. I have Jordan Addison as my WR2 in the class, but he goes he at WR3 of the rookie class. The J Crews leading WR is Courtland Sutton, so Addison has a good chance of being the teams WR1 for the upcoming season.

6. Jamaican Mafia (Via Hennyville Hashbrown)

Bryce Young, QB, Alabama (1.06)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Texans, Colts, Panthers

The Jamaican Mafia makes their first selection of the FBA draft at the 6th spot, after acquiring the 2023 first rounder from Hennyville in the Barkley/Kelce deal last year. The direction Jamaican Mafia will go with this pick is a question we won’t know till draft night. Their armed with young talent at the WR position, while their RBs could use a upgrade from Cam Akers & Javonte Williams. However, I don’t believe there’ll be a strong enough RB to select at pick 6 following Robinson & Gibbs. TE Michael Mayer has been rumored at this spot, while the Mafias current TE Dalton Schultz looking to test free agency, but I believe the QB position is the larger need for the team. I have Jamaican Mafia selecting QB Bryce Young, with the team moving on from Dak and Trey Lance’s status questionable next season, the Mafia need their franchise guy.

7. Bodacious Booty Boys (Via Cultured Gents)

Michael Mayer, TE, Norte Dame (1.07)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Chargers, Patriots, Bengals

After trading the first overall pick to Hennyville, the Booty Boys enter the draft with the 7th pick following a deal with the Cultured Gents, where they sent WR Juju Smith-Schuester & a 2024 3rd for it. If all goes as planned for the team, having TE Michael Mayer fall to the 7th spot would be a dream come true. The Booty Boys have a massive need at TE, with the current options Juwan Johnson & free agent Mike Gesicki. Michael Mayer will start day one for the team in this situation, and in a league where TEs are limited, Mayer can be a big help.

8. Thunder Bay Tits (Via Klub Ice)

Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU (1.08)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Chiefs, Giants, Cardinals

Thunder Bay hops back in the draft, this time selecting at the 8th spot. There’s a very good chance the Tits double up on WR in this draft, and at this pick Kayshon Boutte out of LSU seems to be the guy. Right now his draft stock is from the end of the first to the beginning of the 2nd, with the consensus of him & WR Jaylin Hyatt as the best WR after the top 3. Thunder Bay now adds Smith-Njiba & Boutte to the young squad, with the teams next selection at pick 12.

9. J Crew

Zach Evans, RB, Ole Miss (1.09)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Bears, Eagles, Saints

The J Crew can really select any position here, but with them going WR at 5, it makes sense to grab the next best RB on the board. Its unclear who is the current RB3 in this draft, but right now I believe its Evans. The Ole Miss running back was the No. 2 recruit in high school at his position behind Robinson in 2020. However, unlike Robinson, Evans didn’t have much of a role in the passing game, totaling 30 receptions in 27 career games. After starting his career at TCU, Evans transferred to Ole Miss before the 2022 season and had a career year. If the Ole Miss back shows natural hands during the pre-draft process, Evans could become a 2nd-round pick.

10. J Crew (Via Nip City)

C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State (1.10)

  • Potential NFL Landing Spots: Texans, Colts, Raiders

With the J Crew looking to rebuild a new team, there’s no better way then to draft your franchise QB. With Kyler expected to miss a period of time to start the 2023 season, the J Crew could look to start a rookie instead of QB Kirk Cousins next year. Stroud is almost guaranteed to go Top 10 in the draft come April, and he sees himself land with the J Crew to start his FBA career.
